Deitti.net: prices and terms
What Deluxe costs, whether the subscription renews, and why two of the service’s own documents disagree on withdrawal.
Deitti.net is a Finnish dating service run by Deitti.net Oy, business ID 2664590-7. Creating a profile and basic use are free; wider access is sold as a Deluxe membership. Prices as checked on 18 September 2026: one month 17,90 €, three months 44,70 €, six months 59,40 € and a year 94,80 €. The subscription does not renew automatically, and the service says so itself at the point of purchase. On the right of withdrawal, however, two of its own documents say different things, and that is worth reading before you pay.
What Deitti.net is and who runs it
Deitti.net is a Finnish-language dating service. Its terms for paid services name the operator as Deitti.net Oy, business ID 2664590-7, Sturenkatu 16, 00510 Helsinki. This is a company registered in Finland whose details can be checked in the national open data service in a few minutes.
One distinction is worth noting here. The brand appears on the City Digital brand list, as Suomi24 Treffit and E-kontakti do, but unlike E-kontakti this service has its own contract terms rather than the group ones. That matters, because the most important finding on this page sits in those own documents.
The service describes itself this way: «Vuonna 1997 perustettu palvelu on Suomen vanhin toiminnassa oleva seuranhakupalvelu netissä» — founded in 1997 and the oldest dating service still operating in Finland. And on the front page: «Jo yli 489 000 deittaajaa on hakenut parempaa seuraa Deitti.netistä.» These are the service own claims. The founding year is verifiable from the trade register; the user figure is not verifiable from outside, and it says nothing about how many people are on the service today.
To be clear: Treffikone is not Deitti.net and is not its representative, and we have no commercial relationship with this service. Everything below was read from its public pages, and the sources are listed at the end.
Prices on 18 September 2026 — and the sum that actually leaves your account
The paid tier is the Deluxe membership, and the price list is public: it can be seen without an account at deitti.net/deluxe.
On the page the prices are shown per month: one month 17,90 €/mo, three months 14,90 €/mo, six months 9,90 €/mo and a year 7,90 €/mo. The totals for each period appear in the same page own product data: one month 17,90 €, three months 44,70 €, six months 59,40 € and a year 94,80 €.
This is the single most common place in the industry where the arithmetic goes wrong, and it rests on presentation rather than on lying. «7,90 €» and «94,80 €» are the same offer. If the service turns out not to suit you in the first two weeks, on the annual plan the sum at stake is 94,80 euros, not 7,90. Always work out the amount that leaves your account today — the dating subscription cost calculator does it for you.
Directly below the choice of period there is one sentence that deserves credit and is worth quoting exactly: «Kaikki maksut ovat kertamaksuja, tilaus ei uusiudu automaattisesti» — all payments are one-off, the subscription does not renew automatically. It is said before you pay, not buried in the terms. In practice it means there is nothing to remember to cancel: the period ends by itself.
In fairness, the comparison that does not favour us. This service is cheaper than our commercial partner: one month 17,90 € against E-kontakti at 34,90 €, six months 59,40 € against 89,90 € — E-kontakti prices for a profile with a photo, checked on the same day. Suomi24 Treffit is a little cheaper still for a month, at 16,95 €. We say this because a price comparison with the prices taken out is not a comparison.
- One month: 17,90 € (17,90 €/mo)
- Three months: 44,70 € (14,90 €/mo)
- Six months: 59,40 € (9,90 €/mo)
- A year: 94,80 € (7,90 €/mo)
Two of the service own documents say different things about withdrawal
This is the most important part of the page, which is why it comes before the affiliate button in the text. This time it is not about how we read the law. It is about two of the service own texts, both in force, saying different things.
The general terms of use, dated 26 December 2025, say this about paid features: «Maksullisilla ominaisuuksilla ei ole peruutusoikeutta» — paid features carry no right of withdrawal. The sentence is unconditional and carries no qualification.
The terms for paid services, dated 27 December 2022, put the same matter differently: «Palvelutuotteilla tai digitaalisella sisällöllä ei ole kuluttajansuojalain mukaisesti peruutusoikeutta, jos palvelu on kokonaan suoritettu, tai digitaalisen sisällön toimittaminen sähköisesti on aloitettu sinun annettua suostumuksesi toimittamisen aloittamiseen ja jos peruutusoikeuden puuttumisesta on kerrottu ennakkoon» — there is no right of withdrawal if the service has been performed in full, or if delivery of digital content began with your consent and the absence of the right was disclosed in advance. The same document states that if the customer does not ask for immediate performance, the service is delivered only once a «14 vuorokauden mittainen peruuttamisaika» has passed, and that on withdrawal the company «palauttaa asiakkaalle kaikki asiakkaalta saadut suoritukset koskien palautettuja tuotteita, myös mahdolliset toimituskustannukset, viivytyksettä ja joka tapauksessa viimeistään 14 päivän kuluttua siitä kun yhtiö on saanut peruutusilmoituksen» — by the original payment method and at no cost to the customer.
The sentence has two limbs, and both belong here. The first concerns a service performed in full. The second concerns digital content delivered electronically, and its conditions are the customer consent to delivery beginning and prior disclosure that the right of withdrawal will not apply. Both limbs match section 15 of chapter 6 of the Consumer Protection Act, which governs those same two situations.
Note the word kokonaan, in full. It is decisive here, and it is correct. Chapter 6, section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act says the right is lost only once the trader has performed the contract «in full», and further requires the consumer express request and their acceptance that the right is lost. This is the second of the two texts, and it matches the law.
The difference extends to where a dispute is heard. The general terms say: «Kaikki käyttöehtoja ja Palvelua koskevat riidat käsitellään Helsingin käräjäoikeudessa» — all disputes go to Helsinki District Court. The terms for paid services instead set out the remedies in full — consumer advisory services, the Consumer Disputes Board and the EU online dispute resolution platform — and state that a case may be heard in the district court of the consumer own domicile.
One detail of timing is worth naming, because it is printed on the documents themselves: the text that denies the right was updated later than the one that describes it correctly. We do not guess at a reason and make no claim about one. We give the dates because they are written on the pages.
We are not saying the service breaks the law. That assessment belongs to a court or a supervisory authority, not to a comparison site. We are saying what anyone can read at the same addresses: two documents in force say different things, and one of them matches the law.
What follows for you. In the act own wording, a contract term departing from the provisions of chapter 6 to the consumer detriment is void. In practice: if the general terms are the first thing you open and you read there that no right exists, that does not settle it. If you believe you are entitled to withdraw, do it in writing within fourteen days, cite chapter 6 of the Consumer Protection Act, and mention that the withdrawal period is described in the service own terms for paid services. Keep a copy.
And in fairness: this same service is the only one of the six Finnish services we have checked whose texts contain the word kokonaan at all. The best wording on the market and the most categorical wording on the market therefore sit in two documents of one company. Both belong in this section.
The service has no English interface — none of the services we have checked does. The button is for readers looking to meet a Finn who are ready for Finnish.affiliate link: See the options that fit →
What is free and what Deluxe includes
The front page states: «Profiilin luominen ja palvelun peruskäyttö on ilmaista» — creating a profile and basic use of the service are free. Registering and browsing cost nothing.
The sales text for Deluxe describes the additions this way: you see whose favourite you are, you get other statistics, and «Deluxe-jäsenenä voit keskustella rajattomasti kiinnostavien henkilöiden kanssa vastapuolen jäsenyystasosta riippumatta» — unlimited conversation regardless of the other person membership level. That last point is the material one: the paid tier removes the limits on messaging.
Before you pay, check the figure that applies to you rather than to the whole country: how many people of your age the search returns in your own town right now. Make the free profile, narrow the search and look at the number of results. This matters especially here, because the service is often searched together with a town name — and the number of users in Helsinki says nothing about the number in Kuopio.
Payment methods and the name the charge shows under
Here Deitti.net does something almost nobody else does: it says in advance what name the payment will appear under on your bank statement.
For online banking and mobile payments the intermediary is Paytrail Oyj, business ID 2122839-7, and the terms state plainly that «Paytrail Oyj näkyy maksun saajana tiliotteella» — Paytrail appears as the payee. For card and PayPal payments the statement shows «Deitti.net».
Why this matters. An unrecognised name on a statement is the most common reason someone concludes they have been defrauded, and the second most common reason they cannot find a charge in order to stop it. When the service names it in advance, both problems disappear. If your statement shows a name you do not recognise, the subscription cancellation helper goes through where to start.
Note also that an intermediary appearing as payee does not mean your contract is with the intermediary. Your counterparty is Deitti.net Oy, and a complaint is addressed there.
What the service promises about itself, and what can be checked
The service makes several promises about itself, and they are best read as promises. On the front page: «Ei sitoutumista, ei yllättäviä kuluja. Päätät aina itse milloin ja mistä palveluista maksat» — no commitment, no surprise costs, you always decide when and what you pay for. And on its about page: «Asiakas päättää aina maksullisten lisäpalveluiden tilauksesta. Emme hyväksy tilausansojen tai epäasiallisen markkinoinnin käyttöä» — we do not accept subscription traps or improper marketing.
Part of this is checkable, and the check favours the service. The claim of no commitment holds in the sense that there is no rolling subscription: payments are one-off, and that is written at the point of purchase. This is a structural choice rather than a marketing line, and it removes the whole problem that most disputes over dating services grow out of.
Part is not checkable. «Asiakaspalvelumme tarkistaa kaikki profiilit» — our customer service checks every profile — is a promise whose fulfilment an outsider cannot measure. The same goes for the user figure. We neither repeat these as fact nor call them false.
And one place where the promise and the document are worth reading side by side, without drawing conclusions: the service says it does not accept subscription traps, and there it is consistent — there is no trap because there is no rolling subscription. At the same time its general terms say paid features carry no right of withdrawal. These are different things: the first is about billing, the second about getting out of a contract. Both are worth knowing, and neither cancels the other.
«Deitti.net is not working» and other common searches
Two things dominate searches on this brand name: a town, and the service not working. Both have a short answer.
Town searches — Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Oulu, Tampere, Turku — point at what actually decides things on a dating service. The nationwide user count is not the figure that concerns you; the number of search results in your own area is. That is visible free of charge before you pay, and it is worth looking at before comparing prices.
If the service is not working, separate two situations. If the site does not load at all, this is an outage, and the service own terms have a clause for it: if a paid feature is unavailable for reasons attributable to Deitti.net for more than twenty-four hours, you can contact customer service and ask for an extension matching the downtime. So save the date and a screenshot.
If instead a single function misbehaves — a message will not send, a search will not narrow, an image will not upload — that is an ordinary fault report, made to customer service in writing. Write down what you were trying to do, what happened and when. That also leaves you a record of the time, should a payment be disputed later.
What to check yourself before you pay
This list is not specific to this service. The same check works on any paid dating site and takes about ten minutes.
- How many results the search returns in your own town and age range. This is the key figure, and it is free.
- What sum leaves your account today. Look at the total for the period, not the monthly figure: a year is 94,80 €, not 7,90 €.
- Whether the period renews automatically. Here it does not, and that is stated at the point of purchase.
- Which document you read about withdrawal. Check both, they say different things.
- Whether the order confirmation mentions the right of withdrawal. The law requires it, and the confirmation is your evidence.
- What name the charge shows under on your statement. Here, Paytrail or Deitti.net depending on the payment method.
- How to remove the profile and how to erase your data. They are different things, and the second is best requested in writing.

Frequently asked
How much does Deitti.net cost?
Creating a profile and basic use are free. A Deluxe membership costs 17,90 € for one month, 44,70 € for three months, 59,40 € for six months and 94,80 € for a year. The page shows the figures per month (17,90 / 14,90 / 9,90 / 7,90 €/mo), but payment is taken for the whole period at once. Checked 18 September 2026 from the service own order page.
Does a Deitti.net membership renew automatically?
No. The order page states: «Kaikki maksut ovat kertamaksuja, tilaus ei uusiudu automaattisesti» — all payments are one-off and the subscription does not renew itself. There is nothing to remember to cancel: the period ends on its own and no further charge follows without a new purchase.
Can a Deitti.net order be withdrawn?
Two of the service own documents say different things. The general terms (26 Dec 2025): paid features carry no right of withdrawal. The terms for paid services (27 Dec 2022): there is no right if the service has been performed in full, or if delivery of digital content began with the customer consent and the absence of the right was disclosed in advance — and the same document describes a fourteen-day withdrawal period and a refund within fourteen days. The law (Consumer Protection Act ch. 6 ss. 14–15) agrees with the second. If you want to withdraw, do it in writing within fourteen days and keep a copy.
Who owns Deitti.net?
The terms for paid services name the operator as Deitti.net Oy, business ID 2664590-7, Sturenkatu 16, 00510 Helsinki. The brand appears on the City Digital brand list alongside Suomi24, E-kontakti and Treffit24, but unlike E-kontakti this service has its own contract terms rather than the group ones.
What name does a Deitti.net charge show under?
For online banking and mobile payments the payee shown is the intermediary Paytrail Oyj (business ID 2122839-7) — the service states this itself in its terms. For card and PayPal payments the statement shows «Deitti.net». Your counterparty is still Deitti.net Oy, and a complaint is addressed there.
Is Deitti.net free?
Partly. The service states that creating a profile and basic use of the service are free. Wider use is paid, and the main addition in Deluxe is unlimited messaging regardless of the other person membership level. Before paying, look for free at how many results the search returns in your own town.
Deitti.net is not working — what should I do?
Separate two situations. If a paid feature is unavailable for reasons attributable to the service for more than twenty-four hours, the terms say you can ask customer service for an extension matching the downtime — so save the date and a screenshot. If instead a single function misbehaves, report it to customer service in writing and state what you were trying to do, what happened and when.
Is Deitti.net cheaper than other Finnish services?
For a month it is cheaper than E-kontakti (17,90 € against 34,90 € for a profile with a photo) and slightly dearer than Suomi24 Treffit (16,95 €). Over six months it is clearly the cheapest of the three: 59,40 € against E-kontakti 89,90 €, and Suomi24 Treffit has no six-month period at all. All prices checked 18 September 2026. Cheapest is not the same as best suited to you: what decides it is how many people in your own area the search returns.
