Subscription cost calculator

What a subscription costs for 3, 6 and 12 months

Short answer

This calculator shows what a Finnish dating subscription charges at once and what it costs over a year. It exists because the shop-window monthly price and the amount that leaves your card are rarely the same: Deitti.net’s "€7.90 per month" means a single charge of €94.80, while the Suomi24 Treffit monthly plan charges €16.95. Pick a service and a period length to see both figures side by side. Prices were taken from the services’ own pages on 21 August 2026.

Worth knowingThe site shows prices only as €/month. The total for the period is not stated anywhere.

Two separate rules: since 19 June 2026 an online order must carry a withdrawal function for the 14-day right, and termination must separately work at least in the channels used to subscribe (KKV).

Prices from the services' own pages, checked 21.8.2026. Prices change without notice — verify on the service page before paying.

What the calculator works out

Three figures that the services’ own pages rarely show at the same time.

Charged at once. This is the amount that leaves your card today. It is not shown at all when the price is quoted only as €/month.

Per month equivalent. The same figure the service puts in the shop window — it is here so you can see both side by side instead of comparing from memory.

Per year at this rate. What twelve months cost if you keep renewing the same period. This is the figure that makes the difference between plan lengths visible.

The saving against paying monthly is shown separately. On the Deitti.net annual plan it is €120.00, which is a real saving — provided the service turns out to suit you.

Why the shop window and the charge differ

This is the heart of the subject, and it rests on presentation rather than on lying.

When a service writes "Vuosi 7,90 €/kk", the figure is correct: €94.80 divided by twelve is exactly €7.90. What goes unsaid is that €94.80 leaves your account today as one payment.

Hence the paradox. The lowest shop-window price means the largest single charge, and the most expensive monthly plan takes the least. The gap on the first payment is more than sixfold, in favour of the plan that looks dearer.

The Consumer Ombudsman requires the total price for the whole contract period to be given when a fixed-term contract is marketed, not just the monthly figure. The calculator does that arithmetic for you where the service has not.

The full price structure and every plan are covered on what a subscription really costs.

The same gap between presentation and reality applies to getting out, and there two separate rules get muddled. An order placed through an online interface must, since 19 June 2026, carry a withdrawal function — but on the KKV’s own definition that is a function for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal, meaning those fourteen days. Terminating a subscription already running is a rule of its own: under Consumer Ombudsman decision KKV/981/14.08.01.05/2025 it must be arranged at least in the channels where contracts are concluded. The calculator settles neither, but it is worth knowing which one you are invoking.

Where the figures come from

Prices were taken from the services’ own pages on 21 August 2026, and the sources are listed at the bottom of this page.

Affiliate roundups were not used as a source at all: their prices go stale and get bent to fit the commission.

If a service does not offer a given period, you cannot select it here. Suomi24 Treffit has no six-month or annual plan; E-kontakti has no three-month or annual plan. A missing price is never derived from the neighbouring period, because that would produce a figure that appears on no payment page anywhere.

Prices change without notice. If the check date is old, treat the figures as indicative and verify them on the service’s own page before paying.

What the calculator does not work out

The limits are worth knowing in advance, otherwise the figure looks more precise than it is.

It does not track price changes. The figures were taken from the services’ pages on 21.8.2026 and may have changed since: services change their prices without warning. Treat the result as a snapshot from the check date, not as the current price.

It does not know the app store’s cut. The same subscription bought inside a phone app often costs more than on the service’s own site, and part of the difference goes to the store. The calculator uses the website price.

It does not work out what happens after the period ends. If a plan renews automatically, the second charge may go through at a different price: a discount usually applies only to the first period. The renewal terms are on the payment page.

And it does not include the international apps. Tinder, Bumble and Victoria Milan do not publish their prices: they are visible only after registering or in an app store, and they differ from one user to another. There is nothing to calculate from.

What to check after the calculation

The amount is only half the decision. Three things are worth looking at before you pay.

Automatic renewal. Before paying, find both the withdrawal function and the route to terminate inside your account. The first has been mandatory since 19 June 2026 and covers the fourteen-day right of withdrawal; the second must, under the Consumer Ombudsman’s line, be available at least in the same channels used to subscribe. If you cannot find either in two minutes, you will not find them later.

The notice period in the terms. More than one month is unlawful in Finland: in November 2024 the Market Court imposed a 100 000 € penalty for a three-month clause in decision MAO:667/2024.

And the question that settles the plan length. Do not ask how much you are willing to pay; ask how much you are willing to lose if the service does not suit you. An annual plan only saves money if you use it to the end.

Whether to pay at all has its own page: free or paid.

Frequently asked

What does the price calculator do?

It shows three figures at once: what the subscription charges in a single payment, what that comes to per month, and what a year costs at the same rate. The services’ own pages rarely show these together, and that gap is exactly where the difference arises between what someone expects to pay and what leaves their card.

Are the prices in the calculator real?

Yes. They were taken from the services’ own pages on 21 August 2026, and the sources are listed at the bottom of this page. Affiliate roundups were not used as a source. Prices change without notice, so verify them on the service page before paying.

Why can I not select every period?

Because those plans do not exist. Suomi24 Treffit has no six-month or annual plan, and E-kontakti has no three-month or annual plan. A missing price is not calculated from the neighbouring period, because that would produce a figure that appears on no payment page.

Are my selections in the calculator stored?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. There is no registration and no email address is asked for.

Should I take a long plan if it is cheaper per month?

Only if you use it to the end. The Deitti.net annual plan saves €120.00 against paying monthly, but charges €94.80 immediately. If the service does not suit you within two weeks, you have lost €94.80 rather than €17.90. The right question is how much you are willing to lose, not how much you are willing to pay.

What do I do if charges continue after I cancel?

First cancel in writing with the service and keep a copy, then file a claim with your own bank. Under the KKV position, a bank must refund unauthorised card charges and may not send you to the merchant first. Replacing the card does not help: Visa and Mastercard pass the new card details to the merchant automatically.
