Small calculating tools that answer a question faster than an article does. The calculator shows the full amount for a subscription term — the one that will actually be charged, not the monthly figure on display. The test scores risk against the markers that recur in Finnish police cases. Both run directly in your browser: nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored anywhere. That is not a courtesy but a consequence — answers like these fall into a special category of data under the GDPR.

Why the tools store nothing
This is worth saying before you type anything in.
Both tools calculate directly in your browser. What you enter does not reach our server, is not written to a database and does not end up in any analytics — because there is simply nothing to send: the calculation happens on your device.
The reason is not modesty. The answers in the risk test amount to a description of your personal situation in a romantic relationship. Article 9 of the GDPR places data on sexual life in a special category whose processing is prohibited as a general rule. The safest way not to break that rule is not to collect such data at all.
The practical consequence for you: a result cannot be recovered or forwarded, and if you refresh the page you will have to enter everything again. That is inconvenient, and it is deliberate.

The subscription cost calculator
It answers the question the services’ own sites carefully step around: how much will actually be charged.
The problem is that the price is shown per month but charged for the whole term. Formally that is not a lie — 94.80 divided by twelve really does give 7.90. What goes unsaid is that 94.80 euros leave your account in a single payment today.
The calculator works out two things: the amount of the first charge and the amount across twelve months. The second is usually the real price of the service.
The Consumer Ombudsman requires the total price for the whole term to be stated for a fixed-term contract, not just the monthly figure. While not everyone complies, the arithmetic is left to you.

The fraud marker test
Twelve questions on markers that recur in nearly every case the Finnish police have described.
It matters to understand what it actually does. It does not deliver a verdict on a particular person and could not — no questionnaire can. It shows how many established markers match, and explains why each one carries weight.
Use it like this: one or two matches prove nothing, since someone really can have a poor camera and a job abroad. Three or more is a reason to stop and check the photographs with a reverse image search before going further.
The result is shown in both colour and words: colour alone cannot be relied on, because roughly one man in twelve distinguishes colours differently.

Why tools rather than one big comparison table
A fair question: if we have criteria, why not put every service into a single table with stars and be done with it.
The first reason is that such a table lies by construction. To give a service an overall score you have to weigh the criteria against each other: how much more important is price than privacy, or verification than the size of the user base. But the weights depend on the person, not on the service. Any single score is somebody else’s priorities dressed up as objectivity.
The second reason is that a table goes stale all at once. One service changes its price and the whole page is already wrong, while looking exactly as convincing as before.
The third is practical: people need an answer to their own question, not a sorted list. “How much will be charged for the annual tariff” and “how many fraud markers match in my case” are questions about a specific situation, and a table does not answer them.
A tool does. It takes your figures and returns your result, not an average. And it does not age as quickly: the formula for total cost does not change because a service changed its price.

The other four tools and what each answers
The section’s other four tools each answer one question, and they all calculate in the browser exactly as the first two do.
The cancellation helper assembles a ready Finnish-language message to the service and separates two things that are constantly confused: withdrawal within fourteen days and terminating a subscription already running. The wrong word in the wrong situation lets a service answer formally correctly and substantively no.
The photo checker runs through fifteen points about your profile pictures on two separate scales: how easily you can be located, and how likely the profile is to be read as fake. Photos are not uploaded anywhere — the tool asks about them and you answer.
The first-date safety tool builds a plan you can copy to a friend. Its load-bearing field is the time by which you will check in: without it a friend knows the place but not when to start worrying.

Because sending it would mean telling us the address, the service and your situation — and those are exactly the details this site does not take in. Beyond that, the recipient has to be able to establish that the request comes from you: a message from your own email address proves it, one sent through us does not. The text is assembled in your browser and the sending is left to you.
Why is there no overall table with star ratings?
Because an overall score requires weighing criteria against each other — how much more important price is than privacy — and the weights depend on the person, not the service. Any single score is somebody else’s priorities dressed up as objectivity. A table also goes stale entirely when one price changes. A tool returns your result from your figures.
Do I need to register to use the tools?
No. There is no registration at all, no accounts exist on this site, and nothing needs to be entered beyond the answers in the form itself.
